Decoda Ensemble has commissioned a new arrangement of Sarah’s contributions to the hour-long song cycle Blue Hour, which she wrote collaboratively in 2018 with Rachel Grimes, Angelica Negron, Shara Nova, and Caroline Shaw on poetry by Carolyn Forche. Sarah has arranged the 15′ six-movement suite — titled If You Bring Forth What Is Within You: Suite from Blue Hour — for flute, clarinet, bassoon, French horn, piano, two violins, viola, cello, contrabass.
